We are pleased to announce the group exhibition “Migration” at Neptune Gallery (Taipei) with Shihodo Gallery.
Neptune Gallery focuses on sculptures and paintings by artists with close ties to Japan in Taiwan. Shihodo Gallery introduces high-quality modern paintings and contemporary artists both domestically and internationally.
The connection between Taiwan and Japan is deep, and so is the history of art. During the Japanese colonial period, Taiwanese painters received Japanese art education and we believe that Taiwan and Japan had a great influence on the field of modern art. The theme of this exhibition, “Migration,” is in line with this exhibition, which is constructed across national borders.
This group exhibition of carefully selected artists from both Taiwan and Japan will be an exhibition where different perspectives and works from both countries resonate with each other. Seven artists from Neptune Gallery and six artists from Shihodo Gallery will be exhibiting their works. If you are in Taipei, please come and see the exhibition.
